Eyes on the Week(end) (15-17 April)

Time to look back on the weekend! What did Friday, Saturday, and Sunday look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from last week and what are we looking forward to? These three questions will be answered in our Eyes on the Week(end) article!

We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

As my shoulder is gradually showing signs of improvement, I have been able to make some progress in Aliens: Fireteam Elite with Lewis. Up to the second to last campaign now. I’ve got to say, the headshot noise is pure bliss to hear. At first, I wasn’t too keen on the game but it’s grown on me in time. I also redownloaded Microsoft Solitaire Collection as I noticed more gamerscore and achievements have been added. Finding the events enjoyable and something different to do. I do enjoy Solitaire; just not when the difficulty is too hard.

Most exciting news of last week: I don’t think anything caught my attention apart from the Back 4 Blood DLC that was released last Tuesday. Thinking of picking up the season pass at a later date for any further DLC.

Looking forward to playing this week: Honestly, I have my review games in mind and maybe some achievement hunting planned for already started games but couldn’t say exactly what I will be playing.

Didn’t game too much over the weekend. I did play some Bugsnax for our upcoming Xbox review so more on that later! Besides this, I didn’t really turn to gaming as I didn’t feel like it. As today is also a free day, I might game a little more today, probably some Imp of the Sun on my laptop or something on my Switch like Diablo 3.

Most exciting news of last week: I’d have to copy Robby here and say the release of Painting VR. Even though I’m not a VR fan (any type of VR game makes my head spin), I did get a chance to play Painting VR last year and it’s pretty neat. I love the art and VR combination!

Looking forward to playing this week: Since I have work, concerts and a weekend at my in-laws this week, I doubt there will be a lot of time for gaming! Might take my Switch with me though and enjoy some more Diablo 3.

Nothing exciting to share here, didn’t have a lot of game time and most of it went into Elden Ring... again. And even after 80+ hours, I still have a long way to go.

Most exciting news of last week: Two Belgian games launched last week: Painting VR and Agrilife. Always love seeing more Belgian titles hit the market.

Looking forward to playing this week: Going to finally start Firewatch this week!

Barely gamed this weekend. But the few hours I did play, I played Payday 2 with a friend of mine and I played some Dr. Professor Scientis’s Weapons Testing Facility. A review of the last one is coming next week! The rest of the weekend I spent outside with the dogs and I went to the sea.

Most exciting news of last week: There wasn’t any gaming news that got my attention last week.

Looking forward to playing this week: I think it’s time to finish some Pokémon games that I started but never finished so looking forward to that!

Haven’t been playing that many different games this weekend. I mainly spent my time on Dead by Daylight, and have finally maxed out my first survivor, Meg.

Most exciting news of last week: Nothing that really caught my interest.

Looking forward to playing this week: Probably some more Dead by Daylight and Spyro: Reignited Trilogy. I’m also going to work on my reviews for Thunder League & Flat Kingdom Paper’s Cut Edition.

Played some Dragon Evo for my upcoming preview, it’s not exactly what I thought it was going to be, which left me somewhat disappointed. I’m not saying it doesn’t have potential, but it definitely needs improvements. Started playing Nobody Saves the World and it’s been pretty fun and interesting so far, thanks again Xbox Games Pass.

Most exciting news of last week: There was nothing too interesting this week, I’d say that Bugsnax being announced not only for Xbox but also straight for Games Pass was interesting.

Looking forward to playing this week: I will continue playing Nobody Saves the World, play a little bit more of Dragon Evo and probably play some more Overwatch if I can l.

Had a slightly more varied weekend this time around. Elden Ring still held most of my Saturday captive. I also played a good amount of Minecraft on a realm a friend set up. I found a jungle temple which I cleared out and renovated into my house. Deforestation efforts are still ongoing to make the surrounding area more hospitable. I also took some time with the RTS game: The Fertile Crescent. You can expect a preview of that soon. Besides that, however, I actually enjoyed the great weather we’re having in Belgium. Don’t want to enter summer looking like I never see the sun…

Most exciting news of last week: Maybe not news per se, but there is an Elden Ring player who loves nothing more than solo one of the game’s hardest bosses. Aptly named: “Let me solo her” this gigachad has become an icon within the community, with lots of art being made of the naked tarnished wearing only a single pot on his head.

Looking forward to playing this week: More Minecraft actually. With the new caves and extra world depth, I’m keen to see what is new.
