I’ve had a more eventful week than I’m typically used to this week, with hospital appointments and picking up my new glasses, meaning I’ve been quite tired and not gamed as much as I would have liked.
After starting my first initial playthrough of Dead Reset on Saturday, I went back to figure out what I was missing on Monday and managed to get all the endings and achievements. My review has just been published and can be read [HERE]
On Thursday, I went back and completed the final chapter for Life is Strange: Double Exposure. Honestly, I do think it’s the weakest game in the entire series. However, the ending had me interested in what would happen next as it left off at somewhat of a cliffhanger. Now it’s time to replay the game and grab any missed achievements along the way.
Most interesting news of this week: Xbox currently has an indie ‘Buy One, Get Two Free’ sale if you’re interested. It’s definitely worth checking for any prior price drops, though, before you go ahead and spend your hard-earned money.
Looking forward to playing: Labyrinthine, Borderlands 4, and Overwatch 2. Plus, I’ll either be starting Age of Mythology or cleaning up Life is Strange: Double Exposure.

One of my old-time favorites is back… I’ll let you think what it could be for a few seconds. It is a mix between the puzzle genre and a storytelling RPG. Know what it is? Just released! Puzzle Quest – Immortal Edition!
Talking about favorites, Marvel’s Midnight Suns keeps on giving, and I can’t end a day without seeing my powerful trio, Scarlett Witch, Nico, and Hunter kick some Hydra butts through portals.
Xbox Game Pass surprised me with Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor. I know I have been out of all the gaming news, but I had no idea about its existence, and I am loving the gameplay. Having hundreds of angry aliens on screen and still splitting rocks for resources while blasting through their bodies is the perfect way to spend a regular evening.
Most interesting news of this week: I haven’t kept up with much gaming news recently.
Looking forward to playing: More of the above.

On Xbox, I’ve been playing Dead Reset. Initially, I wanted to play this with my wife, as she enjoys decision-making FMV-type games. However, Dead Reset was too gory for her, and she found the monster’s appearance horrible 😄. I don’t mind as much, and I’ve already reached two endings. I hope to unlock the other 2 as well.
I’m also still playing Cronos: the New Dawn as my main focus. But I’ve hit a dead end with a boss that keeps kicking my ass. It’s a combination of moving, shooting, dodging enemies, acid vomit and tentacles that grab you, and it’s all just too much. Part of me wishes a patch would arrive that makes it easier, haha. And seeing how only 6% of Xbox players have the achievement of beating this story boss, I’m not alone in my struggles. I think I’m about 85% done with the game now. Really hope to have my review out soon, but I’d like to see the credits roll first…
On PC, it’s been more Katanaut for me, and I also preinstalled a bunch of demos that will soon be in Steam Next Fest. We might even do an article for it with everyone’s favourite demos.
On Switch, I’ve been completing some final stuff in Kirby and the Forgotten Land‘s DLC. It’s a blast, but I still didn’t manage to kill the final optional boss in the colosseum.
Most interesting news of this week: The Belgian Game Awards are back, and I’m helping them again, albeit to a lesser extent than in previous years. Super excited to see all the submissions roll in.
Looking forward to playing: I think I’ll dive back into Donkey Kong Bananza if I manage to beat Cronos.

I got to play Deadzone: Rogue this week, and it’s been very good. I only played it around 3 times, but I managed to beat Zone 1. I’m looking forward to continuing it.
I also played a little bit more of Back to the Dawn. I’m only playing it daily because of Xbox Game Pass quests, but it is a pretty good game.
I’m still playing Hellclock for an upcoming review. The issue is that I can only do one run each time I play it, because they’re long and I don’t have much time. I hope it won’t take me long to finish it, as I would like to get on with the review 🥲
I played a little bit more of A Way Out with my girlfriend again, and some Tabletop Simulator with friends, after 2 years without playing it.
Most interesting news of this week: Dying Light: The Beast was released this week, and it seems like a very good entry to the Dying Light franchise.
Looking forward to playing: More Hellclock, Back to the Dawn, Deadzone: Rogue and whatever else I can fit in my schedule.

This week, I’ve been busy playing Deadzone: Rogue. It’s a fast-paced roguelite shooter with chaotic combat, fun upgrades, and plenty of replayability. Keep an eye out for my review, coming soon.
Another game grabbing my attention this week is Lost Twins 2. Guide twin siblings through a whimsical world and tackle challenging puzzles with a touch of light platforming. My review has recently been published and can be read [HERE]
I’ve also played a bit of Borderlands 4, although I haven’t gotten very far. The upgraded visuals look great and are even more appealing. Plus, it’s now fully open-world, which I much prefer.
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor just dropped on Game Pass Ultimate. Having played the original, I was eager to see how this new version would look and play. With its own take on Vampire Survivors, it doesn’t disappoint. On my first run, I reached the Dreadnought, but I couldn’t even crack the egg before being quickly overwhelmed by other enemies. I can definitely see myself playing this a lot. It’s a bit of a shame that it doesn’t support co-op, though.
Most interesting news of this week: After decades of falling tech prices, the US is now seeing the opposite: Microsoft just announced another Xbox Series X and S price hike, its second in less than five months.
Looking forward to playing: Deadzone: Rogue, Borderlands 4, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor and more Mario Kart.

This week has been slightly slower in terms of games for me as I suffer from migraines from time to time, but the games I have managed to play include Katanaut, Easy Delivery Co. and Hotel Barcelona, all of which I will be reviewing over the coming week.
I have been very unimpressed with the state of Itch.io at the moment due to UK restrictions, meaning that a lot of horror games are unavailable to download via the app, and that includes one by my fellow reviewer, Aaron Wise. I really hope the issues clear up soon, as I do love to play indie games.
Finally, I would just like to say that because I have mentioned Indie horror games that I voice a character in the upcoming Steam game Clown is Hungry, so please check it out and put it on your wishlists.
Most interesting news of this week: A lawsuit is happening between the previous team behind Subnautica and the publisher Krafton, which is causing issues for the release of Subnautica 2.
Looking forward to playing: More Cronos, More Hotel Barcelona and I intend to check out a few of the demos that were recently released, including Sonic Racing Crossworlds.

There are so many roguelikes out there right now. I started playing Ovis Loop, and it pulls me in because I like the combat flow. Some roguelikes are slow and strategic, others are all about speed. Ovis Loop hits a nice middle ground. Dodging feels responsive, and when I finally beat a boss, I feel like I earned it through skill, not luck. That balance is rare, and it makes me want to jump back in after every death.
Most interesting news of this week: There is a fresh report about the Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag remake that Ubisoft has yet to publicly acknowledge.
Looking forward to playing: Digimon Story: Time Stranger is going to be out in 12 days, and I’ve heard good stuff about that!

Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
