Cosy games are a genre I never thought I could get into at first, but I do enjoy them a lot now – sometimes chill, sometimes complex, but never infuriating. Easy Delivery Co. is the latest in a long line of cosy games with a hint of mystery to it that makes it an intriguing game to play. You play as a resident of a small town who has to deliver goods to some very cute but kind of mysterious customers and learn the lore of the game as you play. There is a hint of danger and a small amount of spookiness to the theme the more you play, but at its core, it’s just a nice wee delivery driving game that you can just take your time with.

Things I liked!
- Gameplay | I really enjoyed driving around in my little Kei truck whilst trying to balance the goods on the slippery roads before you run out of energy. Easy Delivery Co. doesn’t hold your hand when it comes to making those deliveries, though; you will have to learn the layout of the land and follow landmarks to find your way around at first, but the map isn’t too big, so you will find it easier as you go along. There is also the risk of freezing, so you must make sure you keep your energy levels up, go indoors and try not to leave the truck for too long. I would say, though, that although these sound as if they could be daunting to some players, they don’t detract from the laid-back nature of the game itself.
- Sound | Easy Delivery Co. has got quite a decent wee soundtrack which is heard through the truck radio as you go about your deliveries. With 21 tracks to listen to, including some slightly strange talk radio from time to time, you will find some great tunes that will stick with you even after playing. You can actually get the Easy Delivery Co. soundtrack as DLC on Steam, and I might actually grab it soon. Other than the music, the soundscape is very well done as well; the sound of the truck driving over the roads, ice and snow helps to immerse you into the world you are playing through. A lot of care was put into creating this game.
- Graphics | Graphically, Easy Delivery CO. is very simplistic; however, this does not detract from the game itself. You will find yourself immersed more in the gameplay, and, to be honest, the simple style actually makes for a more atmospheric experience. The old adage ‘less is more’ comes to mind, and with Easy Delivery Co. I think that the stylistic choices by the developer work extremely well in favour of the route the game takes you on.
Mixed & disliked!
- Game Length | I understand that Easy Delivery Co. is meant to be a short experience with a couple of endings and secrets to discover, but somehow I think that if expanded, the game could join in with the pantheon of cosy games out there. You will find yourself playing for around 4 hours, which to some could be the perfect length for an indie title, and if you include the aforementioned secrets and endings, you could technically find yourself playing for around 6 hours in total. I really enjoyed my time driving around in my little Kei truck and delivering the goods to my customers throughout the town, but unfortunately the mystery had to come to a head at some point. I really do hope to see further DLC or an expanded universe in the future for Easy Delivery Co.

CONCLUSION
Score: 80/100
A quick burst of cosy fun and mystery is delivered to you by the Easy Delivery Co. With secrets to discover and some fun characters to converse with, you will find time just melting away in the snowy landscape of your little mountain town. An enjoyable but far too short wee experience. I would love to see more from the world of Easy Delivery Co
