Brok The Investigator was an interesting mix of point & click storytelling and detective work with some side-scrolling beat’em up action in the mix. (You can read Maui’s review HERE)

As a holiday surprise, Cowcat now release a mini text-based adventure for its characters, diving deeper into Graff’s school years. You play as various characters from the game and the amount of choices you can make are limited, but it’s a nice side-adventure if you’re a fan and the asking price is less than $3 on Xbox and other consoles. (It’s 100% free on Steam though!)

Short story recap, but since this is a game you can easily beat under an hour, I’d rather not spoil anything: Graff, Brok’s adopted son, is tasked with earning money and has one day to earn enough to buy himself a nice present. The game is filled with Christmas themes, but takes place in a world where the tradition is no longer celebrated, and everyone buys themselves gifts.

You really only make a handful of choices, and there aren’t that many different backgrounds, so know that the game is light on content. For Achievement hunters though, you’ll be happy to hear it’s an easy completion and the game has a nice system to skip already seen dialogs, making it easier to replay for the new bits you have missed in a previous run.

and as a small Christmas surprise, here is a colouring page for Brok, for yourself or your kids! You can download the PDF version of it on https://piratepr.com/indie-colouring-book.
