It’s time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? and what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions!
We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

I have spent the majority of my time playing Nexomon this week and was able to finish the main story. I’m now onto the post-game netherworld content, which made me ‘rebirth’ my Nexomon and set my party back to Level 5 and to their beginning evolution. Thankfully, it hasn’t taken long to level them back up, and I could keep Luhava – I don’t know what I would have done if I missed capturing it! I will then proceed to capture the legendaries and play any other post-game content. I’m sure I’ll be able to provide an update next week!
Cluedo has been a godsend this week with the horrid weather I, and many others, have been experiencing in the UK. It’s so relaxing and easy to play, so it’s been almost a daily occurrence for me and Lewis to jump on for a couple of hours.
I also started Barbie Project Friendship, and although I thought it would be fun, it has been tedious. There is no way some of the mini-games could be successfully completed by children – even I was struggling with a couple! It’s currently on Xbox Games Pass if anyone is interested or has family/children that might find it fun with the summer holidays fast approaching.
Most interesting news of this week: Rematch released this week and is looking promising so far from what I’ve read about it online, minus some broken achievements.
Looking forward to playing: Honestly, I’m not sure. Nothing planned for this week.

I’m still playing Ruffy and the Riverside for my upcoming review, and it’s quite a well-made game so far. I also played a bit of Steamworld Dig again for Game Pass quest reasons, as it’s almost always the case, but it is a very good game, though.
Most interesting news of this week: Both Ruffy and the Riverside releasing and my 27th birthday is on the 20th.
Looking forward to playing: More Ruffy and the Riverside and Steamworld Dig.

I haven’t played much this week. I tried a bit of Star Overdrive, but I’m struggling with it. It doesn’t click for me. Mostly been playing Crime Simulator, which is very addictive. However, as a solo player, their previous titles, Thief Simulator 1 & 2, are a lot better. But as a multiplayer game, I think Crime Simulator can be so much fun with a friend.
And I have just started Ruffy and the Riverside, which is already very impressive at the start.
Most interesting news of this week: How well The Alters is doing. I haven’t played it myself, but 11bit studio always makes such interesting titles, and I can’t wait for Moonlighter 2!
Looking forward to playing: Ruffy and the Riverside.

This week, I started playing Final Fantasy XVI. It’s my first time playing a Final Fantasy game, and I must say, I’m really enjoying it so far. I’ve just completed the prologue and played a little further.
I also started playing The Precinct, an action-adventure game with a top-down perspective where you play as a rookie cop learning the ropes. Look out for my review coming soon!
The only other game I’ve really played this week is some Apex Legends, but far less than usual.
Most interesting news of this week: Microsoft has revealed a new “strategic, multiyear” partnership with AMD aimed at powering its future devices, including the upcoming generation of Xbox consoles. Xbox president Sarah Bond shared the news, stating that Microsoft and AMD will collaborate to “co-engineer silicon across a range of devices, including our next-generation Xbox consoles, both in your living room and in your hands.”
Looking forward to playing: The Precinct and The Alters.

Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
