It’s time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? and what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions!
We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

After playing the Halloween event in Labyrinthine since it started, Lewis and I are still trying to obtain all the limited time cosmetics but it’s beginning to get a little tedious with how many cases we’ve managed to get through. The review will be out soon; we’ve just been so hooked on playing!
Season 19 has kicked off in Overwatch 2 but the games feel very much like Season 18: Too much sweat in quick play for my liking. The Battle Pass isn’t brilliant considering the heroes I play, but that Kiriko skin for the Premium Pass looks amazing!
Lewis and I made a start on our co-op store on Supermarket Simulator, which has been a relaxing change of pace, despite the shoplifters! We managed to reach store Level 15 this week and intend on expanding our store further over the coming weeks, but it will be gradual.
We also ventured back into Borderlands 4 on Friday evening, but I’m struggling to enjoy the game with all its bugs, let alone not currently feeling enticed by the story either. Obviously, I’ll play through the entirety of the campaign and you’ll hear more of my thoughts when my review is ready to go.
Most interesting news of this week: There are currently two sales on Xbox: The Shocktober sale and 99 cents sale. I reckon both deserve a little look if you have a few minutes to spare.
Looking forward to playing: The same as this week, plus The Cabin Factory.

I’m playing 1-2 maps per day in Final Fantasy Tactics, with the intention of writing a detailed review. While I like the game, it’s also very slow and it shows its age as is a pretty barebones Tactics game compared to Fire Emblem or even Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, which introduced a lot of interesting new mechanics. I’m super grateful it came to Xbox right away though, as I never owned a platfrom that could play this before and if I’m not mistaken, the PlayStation One version back in the day skipped the European market…
Together with my daughter I’m dancing to 4-5 songs in Just Dance 2026 every day. We even teamed up for a review, which you can read [HERE] But long story short: Bluey is amazing, the other 39 new songs were pretty “meh”.
I only just started playing Little Nightmares III and despite only having played the first (the 2nd is installed, but I just never got around to playing it) I’ll be reviewing it for LifeIsXbox. It’ll be interesting as the co-op introduced in the 2nd will feel fresh to me. but what I played so far didn’t really strike me as innovative. You can check my playthrough of the first chapter HERE
As PR, I have the privilege to sometimes play games that aren’t out yet, even before other press and creators. and one such game is The Devil’s Due. A Poker Roguelike in Hell, with a killer trailer, a nice visual aesthetic and some pretty clever ideas. I’m hooked!! You can check one of my runs HERE
Most interesting news of this week: Very personal big news, but I’m looking to buy myself out from the parent company and start Pirate PR as a self-employed company. Big move, lots of stress. but I think it’ll be worth it.
Looking forward to playing: A code for Pokémon Legends ZA just arrived and I’ll be checking that this weekend!

This week I focused hard on Keeper, to get my review out on time for release. I won’t spoil it, but it was a great little adventure, with welcome surprises. My review can be read [HERE]
Other than that, I also played a bit more of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle again, which has continued to be amazing. I’m very glad this game was made.
Lastly, I played a little bit of Tabletop Simulator with friends again. We played a custom Monopoly-like game, I was unfortunately the first one to go bankrupt, but it was pretty fun.
Most interesting news of this week: Keeper releasing this week.
Looking forward to playing: More Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. I’ll likely get back to playing Hellclock as well.

I finished Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian, what an amazing game! I can’t wait to explore more of the modern Atelier games, as I haven’t played any since the PS2 era. I also wrote a review for LifeisXbox which can be read [HERE]
I have also been playing Kokoro Kitchen, a cute time-management game where you run a restaurant with ghosts. I’m enjoying it a lot!
Most interesting news of this week: Seeing so many people playing Ball x Pitt and it looks so good! However, I’m already overwhelmed with games atm.
Looking forward to playing: Space Chef & Walk of Life.

This week I’ve been diving into Yooka-Replaylee, and honestly, it’s exactly what I needed. It captures that old-school 3D platformer magic while adding just enough modern polish to keep things fresh. The worlds are bright, the movement feels great, and there’s this wonderful sense of charm running through the whole thing. You can check out my full review [HERE]
Another game I’ve just finished reviewing is Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree. Overall, I had mixed feelings about this one, but I absolutely adored the visuals and audio. You can find my review [HERE]
Finally, I’ve been playing some Battlefield 6. I’ve mostly been playing solo, jumping into random games of Conquest. It’s so much fun, even if I do die a lot. It’s worth it for those moments when everything comes together. Some of my favourite moments are when you find a good spot high up on a crane, playing as Recon, spotting enemies and pulling off some great shots from a distance. Or when you’re playing as Support and helping your team more directly. I haven’t really touched the single-player campaign yet, but that’s something I’m looking forward to.
Most interesting news of this week: EA’s latest press release dropped some eye-catching numbers: players have already racked up over 172 million online matches across all platforms. Even off the pitch, the game’s a hit, fans watched more than 15 million hours of gameplay on Twitch and YouTube during launch weekend alone.
Looking forward to playing: Ninja Gaiden 4, Battlefield 6 and Super Mario Odyssey.

Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
