It’s time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? and what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions!
We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

This week was somewhat similar to last week. Me and Lewis continued our journey on Split Fiction and are nearing the end now with two chapters remaining. It’s progressively grown on me and there have been some fantastic chapters (and side chapters) which I’m looking forward to replaying.
I’ve just passed the Museum/Exhibition scene in Crime Scene Cleaner and have made a start on the next. I’m struggling with it though as I can’t seem to find the missing keys/key cards needed to access areas I’m yet to complete. I’m sure I’ll get there eventually.
After watching Lewis play through it, I decided to start Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach. I hate knowing I’m being chased in a game (besides Dead by Daylight) and this game certainly taps into those fears. Mr Moon is no joke and every time he spotted me, I just froze and said ‘You got me’ so I was prepared for the inevitable jump scare. Thankfully, I’ve got past him for the time being and I’m currently at 1AM in game.
My journey with The Walking Dead Telltale Series is almost over as I completed the main story in The Walking Dead: The Final Season. I’m now tasked with going back and replaying through the game in order to get the remaining achievements and collectables I missed along the way which I might do next week.
Unrelated gaming-wise, Lewis has introduced me to the first season of Squid Games and it’s been great! Ups and downs for sure but considering I said I wouldn’t like it, I’ve actually surprised at how good it is. No wonder it was/is so popular.
Most interesting news of this week: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre are stopping all content updates which is sad to hear. I don’t think anything will beat Dead by Daylight when it comes to multiplayer asymmetrical horrors now. The competition just comes and goes.
Looking forward to playing: More Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach, Crime Scene Cleaner and finishing Split Fiction.

I played through The Midnight Walk in a single sitting. A visually amazing game, with characters made out of clay straight out of The Nightmare Before Christmas, running away from enemies like it’s Amnesia, and an ending very reminiscent of Journey. The game feels unique and like a copycat of known titles at the same time. Still, I had a great time for the 4 hours it lasted. A bit short for the asking price though. Not saying it should be longer, but the price tag sure should be lower. Still, what an audiovisual treat! You can find my first hour recorded [HERE]
I also tried my hand at Bionic Bay, but man do I suck at that game. I like me some try, die, repeat, but there are some design choices here that really frustrated me. I made it twice as far as in This Video. But I still gave up on beating it and that’s very rare for me…
Most interesting news of this week: Copycat is coming to Xbox and Ruffy and the Riverside too. Love announcing stuff like that.
Looking forward to playing: DOOM, but the first reboot one, I have a backlog to catch up on.

I started playing Resident Evil 4 Remake on Tuesday. I wasn’t able to play much of it yet but I’m liking it and it looks pretty good. I can’t compare it to the original, as I barely played it, since I wasn’t a fan of the controls.
I tried Blue Prince and thought it has an interesting concept but, ultimately, decided it’s not my jam. I also started playing Dredge thanks to Xbox Games Pass and it seems like an interesting game so far.
I continued my journey of Dark Souls Remastered with my friend on my day off, we used a glitch for some quick souls, so it’s been easier than it should be, were still very lost on where to go though
I’m pretty sure it isn’t going to be long until I finish Crime Scene Cleaner, I’m the 8th mission and the story seems to be taking a turn.
Finally, I played a little bit of Brotato for Xbox Games Pass quest reasons. It’s still a fun game to play, with crazy combinations and loads of enemies.
Most interesting news of this week: Kingdom Hearts Missing Link got cancelled, but we did get some new screenshots for Kingdom Hearts IV.
Looking forward to playing: More Resident Evil 4 Remake and Crime Scene Cleaner.

This week, the biggest game I played was The Precinct, a great police simulator game. It was very good that I didn’t have to follow the traffic rules as I drove around like a madman, even without following the criminals in a car race.
Another game I played this week was Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade. A fun game but a bit too much repetition. I’m not feeling up to completing this one.
I also got the chance to play Grandma, No! and Delicious: The First Course, both great games that will soon be released on Steam.
Most interesting news of this week: Cash Cleaner Simulator has already sold over 100k copies. That game looks like so much fun!
Looking forward to playing: PaperKlay and more Delicious: The First Course

I started playing Doom: The Dark Ages, which just released, and I’m pleased to say that I’ll be covering it in my next review, coming very soon.
While Doom: The Dark Ages is my main focus this week, I was playing some Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 earlier in the week, and it’s just incredible. I’m much better now at parrying and performing perfect dodges in battle, which is very effective. It’s easy to see why this is already so many people’s Game of the Year!
I’ve also played a little Apex Legends. I’ve mostly been focusing on the daily quests and only playing in short bursts here and there. Still, it’s great to be able to jump on and play a few rounds when I get the chance.
Most interesting news of this week: Marathon Developer Bungie Initiates ‘Thorough Review’ After Being Caught Using Uncredited Artist’s Work Again.
Looking forward to playing: Doom: The Dark Ages, Clair Obscur – Expedition 33.

Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
