It’s time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? And what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions!
We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

This week, I’ve felt a little lost and exhausted, but I’ve also had the urge to return to my backlog.
As I’ve completed all of the previous Walking Dead games, I decided to return to The Walking Dead: The Final Season and do one final playthrough to clean up all the achievements I’ve missed. I’m currently three-quarters of the way through, just about to start chapter four, with two achievements remaining. Anyone else played through the Telltale series but never watched the TV series, or is that just me?
I also returned to Contraband Police to finish my second playthrough and mop up some achievements. Unfortunately, one achievement (and now my final one for the 100%) I thought I had met the requirements for didn’t unlock, so I now have to do a third campaign playthrough, which is a shame. That aside, it’s been a great experience throughout and one I’d highly recommend to those who want something new to play.
Most interesting news of this week: We are finally getting an update to Xbox achievements, and I couldn’t be happier! Being able to hide games on your profile, new animations for rare achievements, and highlighting completions are all awesome changes. Now, just let me delete games (and their gamerscore) from my profile, and I’ll be overjoyed!
Looking forward to playing: Overwatch Season 2.

I’ve been lucky enough to have access to the Dead As Disco preview early (one of the benefits of running PR on it), and it’s been very hard to play anything else. If you want to see 2 upcoming boss fights in action, you can check out my videos. Here is Hemlock, and here is Arora. This game is going to be INSANE, and I’m so ecstatic that I get to work on it.
On Xbox, I’ve been following in Benny’s footsteps and enjoying my time with Screamer. I got stuck on an early story level for a while, but then screamed past a few dozen chapters right after. It’s pretty, it’s got a Flemish voice actor of all languages, speaking Flemish, haha, and a truly unique gameplay approach. Check out Benny’s Review [HERE] if you want to read more about it!
Most interesting news of this week: We announced the release date of Dead As Disco on Triple-i initiative, right after having back-to-back IGN and Gamespot coverage. My week has been FIRE!
Looking forward to playing: More Screamer for sure, I’ll see if the game can hold my interest after the story mode, though. Maybe I’ll even challenge Benny to some online matches.

This week has been a wide variety of games for me. First up, I finished playing two review games, both of which are under embargo, so I can’t say much, but both were excellent! Fans of Cthulhu should look forward to Cthulhu: Cosmic Abyss when it launches later this month, and Saint Slayer: Spear of Sacrilege, a 2D Castlevania-like, will entertain any retro enthusiasts.
I also ended up playing and finishing Legacy of Kain: Ascendance for a review, which you can read [HERE]. It is quite a short game with quite a few flaws, unfortunately, and the whole experience wasn’t that great after the initial “oh wow” moments. That said, the animated cutscenes were fantastic, and if you are a fan of the series and want to familiarise yourself with the newest part of the story, I can only recommend it for that alone.
Finally, I started playing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 on my PS5 now that it is at a reasonable price, and although I’m only 3 hours in so far, the music and environments are stunning. Enjoying it so far, but I’m yet to have my “oh yeah” moment with it. I guess I can also say I played Mario Kart on my newly acquired Nintendo DS Lite while drinking my coffee in the mornings.
Most interesting news of this week: Xbox is getting achievement updates, with new animations and stuff!
Looking forward to playing: More Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

This week, I went back to Scritchy Scratchy, finally getting the true ending, and it was pretty fun.
Dice a Million was also back at the rotation, and I still haven’t been able to get the real ending of it, but I’ve won with a few different hands.
I played a little bit more of Deadzone Rogue. I still have to try zone 3, as I’m currently doing challenges in zone 2.
Finally, I played Cleaning Up! for my next review, which can be read [HERE]. It was a pretty simple and short, but fun game to play.
Most interesting news of this week: Xbox achievements update.
Looking forward to playing: At least more Deadzone Rogue and Dice a Million.

This week I’ve been playing Screamer. I managed to 100% the Tournament mode, the game’s story-driven experience with an anime-style narrative woven through intense racing events. It can be challenging in places, but I had a blast from start to finish. You can read my full review [HERE]
I’ve also continued playing Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on the Switch 2. I can now start upgrading my gear and have been tackling a few smaller quests along the way. The hours fly by whenever I’m playing. I’ve mostly been in docked mode, but it still looks and runs impressively in handheld mode.
Hidden Cats in Spooky Village is another game I’ve been playing this week. Finding the last hidden cats in a level can be challenging, but it’s a series I keep coming back to when I want to unwind and play at a slower pace.
I’ve just started playing NAIAD after Robby’s review at the end of 2024 caught my attention. I picked it up a few weeks ago and waited for the right time to dive in. It immediately stands out for its calm, soothing vibe as you drift down the river, exploring and seeing what unfolds. The visuals feel like a living painting, with details like clouds drifting across the sky adding to the immersion. Paired with its peaceful sound design and a blend of music and natural ambience, it’s an easy game to sink into and simply take in.
Most interesting news of this week: Xbox has announced a revamp of Achievements, bringing a fresh look, cleaner profiles, and better recognition for 100% completed games, features players have been asking for years. The update aims to modernise the system and make player milestones stand out more.
Looking forward to playing: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp and trying out Half-Life: Alyx.

Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
