It’s time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? and what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions!
We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

I’ve been relatively absent from gaming this week. Lewis and I played for about an hour on Wolfenstein: Youngblood and defeated another Brother. We still have one more to defeat, and then we’ll see where the story takes us. Although I have played through the campaign before, I can barely remember it, except for the grind, which comes afterwards.
I’ve spent multiple hours watching the Overwatch Champion Series World Finals, which started on Wednesday and ends on Sunday. There have been some fantastic games and plays, so I look forward to who will win the final on Sunday. I’m supporting Twisted Minds, but I’ll also be happy if Crazy Raccoon win too!
Most interesting news of this week: Nothing of interest for me this week.
Looking forward to playing: If I’m in the gaming mood: SCHiM, Winter Burrow, Cloverpit, and perhaps either Banishers: Ghost of New Eden or Total Chaos.

I’m head over heels in love again with Aaero2. New content is set to arrive on December 16th, featuring 6 new tracks, but the devs have also made it easier to get stars, thus making it possible for skill-deprived me to unlock some missing achievements finally. I’ve been playing co-op, PVP and single-player again, and it’s just such a thrill!!
Also still making progress on Demonschool, a really fun Turn-based strategy game that actually plays more like a Sokoban sliding puzzle at times. Mix in some Persona-like high school activities, and you’ve got a recipe for a fine indie game!
Most interesting news of this week: Aaero2 is back! Also, Lost Ember released a free remaster (and yes, achievements stack!!), 2 great games with new reasons to play them again!
Looking forward to playing: Aaero2 will be on the daily playlist for the rest of the year 🥰

I’m playing Once Upon a Katamari for my next review, and it’s been very nice so far. I’ll go into more detail on the review, but if you like the Katamari games, there’s no reason not to like this one.
I continued to play BALL x PIT. It’s still fun and quite interesting to play, though I wish there were even more combinations available. I also tried Megabonk, and it’s a really fun game with a lot going for it.
Most interesting news of this week: Kill it With Fire 2 and Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden have been added to Xbox Game Pass.
Looking forward to playing: More Once Upon a Katamari, BALL x PIT and other games, like Megabonk, if I find the time for them.

I played more Dice Dice Baby, but I’ve now reached the point where I’m kinda stuck, as I only have very challenging stuff left. Still love this little gem!
I finished all the achievements for Moonlighter 2. What a fantastic game! One of my personal favourite games of 2025, but I was already a massive fan of the original game.
Also finished Brew, a roguelite game where you fight through a dungeon, aka going to school. It is fascinating but also quite brought around the edges. However, I kept coming back to unlock all the achievements, so it is also addictive despite the rough edges.
Most interesting news of this week: All the information the journalists of “People Make Games” uncovered about Rock Star UK and the Union Busting.
Looking forward to playing: Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout DX.

I’ve been sinking more time into Anno 117: Pax Romana, especially in Free Play mode, and it’s really addictive. The learning curve and controls can hit hard at first, but once they click, the payoff is huge. Check out my full review [HERE]
I’ve also been playing Kirby Air Riders on the Switch 2, and it’s insanely fun. With loads of modes to dive into and tons of customisation to unlock, there’s always something new to chase. The racing feels like a full-on rollercoaster, fast, wild, and packed with twists and turns. My full review drops in the next few days.
Finally, I’ve been playing Aaero2 again, and with new DLC launching on 16th December, adding six fresh songs and challenging levels, it feels amazing to dive back in!
Most interesting news of this week: Xbox and Crocs have teamed up on limited-edition controller-inspired clogs, complete with buttons and “Player Left/Right” footbeds. Gamers can customise them with charms from Halo, Fallout, DOOM, World of Warcraft, and Sea of Thieves.
Looking forward to playing: Kirby Air Riders, Super Mario Odyssey and Aaero2.

Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
