Eyes on the Weekend (April 24-25)

In Eyes on the Weekend we share what our LifeisXbox team has been playing, most of the time we have our hands full with review games. Some of those have embargo’s so we can’t always openly share what we are playing. What is interesting for us is to see what YOU have been playing! Be sure to let us know on social media! 🙂

Few games appeared on my TV screen this weekend, most time went into Outriders. Still remains one of my favorites of 2021, nearing 40 hours played on that one. Also progressed a little in Rain on Your Parade, the devs recently announced that 150.000 played the game. Also playing a few review games, can’t really go into depth on them as they are all under embargo.

I didn’t play a lot this weekend, didn’t feel too good so spent most of the free time watching TV shows or sleeping. What little I did play was divided between trying out the TUNIC demo on Steam. Can’t say I’m overly impressed, it looks great and has a bit of charm though, but the gameplay fell a bit flat. I also started playing Mario Tennis Aces on Nintendo Switch. Really enjoying it: nice progression , lots of of variety for a tennis game and a solid single player campaign. I should have started playing this way sooner.

I spent pretty much my entire weekend playing games. I tested quite a lot of demos that were made available during LudoNarraCon, and we’ve got previews for a lot of them! Some that jumped to me were Kraken Academy, a game with a bunch of wonderful and unique characters and gameplay that seems to be a lot of fun. Mind Scanners and Svoboda 1945: Liberation were both games that I didn’t really expect to love, but ended up digging so much! Tunic was a fun and very cute-looking game that I’m definitely keeping an eye on in the future. Lake and Unpacking were both relaxing games; one about delivering mail and the other about unpacking boxes in various houses. It was a very busy weekend, but I discovered a lot of cool upcoming games, so all in all, a great weekend!
