Wow, what a month! February 2026 opened the floodgates to exciting new releases and our team could hardly keep up with covering them all. March seems like it’s continuing that trend and shows no signs of slowing down. It’s rough to be a gamer with FOMO right now, because no matter what you chose to play, your definitely missing out on other stellar titles.
As per usual, the LifeIsXbox crew made a list of their favourite games and you can see the results below!
Slay the Spire 2 – March 5
Slay the Spire 2 brings more of the same, but I don’t hear anyone complaining. While the plan is to release in Early Access first, there is no doubt that is just a way of them saying they need to balance things out and need us to break the game so they know what to nerf. So go, and break stuff! There is a reason most deckbuilders get compared to Slay the Spire, so if you’re at all interested in the genre, you should definitely check this out.
John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando – March 12
John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando promises non-stop action, B-movie level one-liners and an endless supply of enemies to kill alone or in co-op. Unleash hell with an arsenal of guns, grenades, and devastating powers as thousands of infected pour toward you in relentless waves.
Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake – March 12
Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake brings an improved version of the 2004 classic that not enough of us have played. The Japanese horror adventure game follows twin sisters who become lost in an abandoned village haunted by vengeful spirits. If you want to have any hopes of survival, you’ll have to use the Camera Obscura, a device that can capture and seal away ghosts.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection – March 13
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is the third entry in the Monster Hunter spinoff that trades real-time action with turn-based rock-paper-scissors combat. The demo along offered easily a dozen hours of content and a first glimpse at the unique mechanic where you could release monsters into certain biomes, to give them new and unique attributes. If you’re playing this one in march, you’re probably set as far as playtime is concerned!
Crimson Desert – March 19
Did I say Monster Hunter would keep you busy? Haha, step aside. Crimson Desert is here to claim your entire year worth of game time. This game seems to do it all and with every new gameplay reveal we were left wondering how the hell they are going to pull all of that off in a single game. It brings elements of the Witcher, Assassin’s Creed, Shadow of the Colossus, Dark Souls and many, many more blockbuster games and rolls them all into one. I daresay this might come out as the Game of the Year 2026, but only time will tell. (make sure to call me out on this in December!)
Screamer – March 26
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh! I’m sorry, I was screaming too loud to hear you. You want to hear about our final pick of the month? Screamer is an upcoming racing title that seems to try and fill a gap we’ve all been feeling in the arcade racing genre. It doesn’t always have to be a simulator with realistic physics, or a Kart racer with throwable turtles and bananas. Sometimes we just want cool cars, doing cool things and boosting through the racecourse. And that’s what Screamers is racing towards. We’ll see end of march if they cross the finish line in one piece!
Our crew had a hard time agreeing on which games to surface with most of us having quite a varied taste and top 5. So here are some other games that were mentioned but barely didn’t make the cut:
- Pokopia – March 5th
- Order 13 – released on Pc last year, but coming to Xbox & PS5 on March 6th
- GRIDbeat! – March 26th
- Life is Strange: Reunion – March 26th

Robby lives and breathes video games. When he’s not playing them, he’s talking about them on social media or convincing other people to pick up a controller themselves. He’s online so often, he could practically list the internet as his legal domicile. Belgian games-industry know-it-all.
