It’s time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? And what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions! We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

After spending more time playing this than it deserved, I managed to fully complete Directive 8020; all the collectables, secrets, endings, and every route possible. It took me 20 hours and 38 minutes to get the 100% completion and another 16+ hours to reach all the different scenarios, so I certainly got my playtime out of it. As always, I look forward to the next instalment, whenever that might be released.
Overwatch has been up and down this week. Some days are enjoyable and others make you feel like you’ve wasted hours you’ll never get back. It also looks like Illari is getting a Dokiwatch skin, which I have to have, but I don’t care much for the recolour of her Le Sserafim skin. I’m also debating the Juno metalcore skin, but as I have just purchased her mythic, I’m doubtful it will join her outfits.
Lewis and I decided to return to Borderlands 4 as multiple bounty and story packs have been released since we last played. Two new Vault Hunters, C4SH and Loveless, are also available to play, but I’m yet to try either of them. We completed Story Pack 1 – Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned and all the side quests and then moved on to Bounty Pack 2 – Legend of the Stone Demon, but we are yet to get the achievement for killing 50 ordonite enemies.
Shortly after finishing RV There Yet?, the developers announced they were working on one final map, and to mine and Lewis’s surprise, it was released this week, so there was only one thing to do – Get back to the RV and see what was in store. It started peacefully, but that didn’t last long. I don’t know if we will finish the map over the weekend, but I’ll give it a notable mention next week if we do.
Most interesting news of the week: PHYSINT by Hideo Kojima was dropped by Sony and now plans to be published by Xbox which is incredibly exciting news! Maybe a taste of things to come?
Looking forward to playing: Overwatch, RV There Yet?, Mafia, and Borderlands 4.

I’ve just finished Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and it was a beautiful adventure with gorgeous art, an amazing soundtrack and clever puzzles. It might just be my favourite game in the trilogy now. (A replay of the previous 2 games is in order). Check my full review [HERE]
I also played some new Steam demos: The Journey Home, a gorgeous narrative platformer that will surely hit some emotional notes in the full game. Belgian-made too! And releasing at the end of this year. Rogue Waves, a deckbuilder where you have to perform surf tricks via a deck of cards. It’s super fun and tactical, and even in the demo I can’t get enough. And two more, but they are still under embargo.
Most interesting news of the week: Physint was going to be a PlayStation exclusive from Kojima, but Xbox is now the new publisher. We also had a Nintendo Direct with first gameplay from Ocarina of Time Remake, Metroid Ravenous and a new open-world Kirby game, with waaaaay more smaller reveals as well.
Looking forward to playing: Dragon Quest Heroes: Torneko’s Mystery Dungeon -Classic HD, which just launched. It reminds me of Azure Dreams, which was one of my favourite childhood games

After finishing Mafia: The Old Country, I did a few side objectives, but decided not to complete and collect everything, despite enjoying it quite a bit.
I started playing Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and I’m already getting close to finishing it. It’s quite a good and fun single-player adventure game; the characters interact quite well with each other, and the combat is pretty nice.
I’m still playing Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League with friends, and it’s already starting to feel repetitive, and we’re far from completing it, as we didn’t even kill a single member of the Justice League yet.
My Xbox Game Pass games of choice this week were Abyssus, Blood Dungeon, and Moonlighter 2, which has been surprisingly very fun and somewhat addictive to play.
Most interesting news of the week: Hideo Kojima’s new project, Physint, found its new home with Xbox, as Sony decided to end its partnership with Hideo.
Looking forward to playing: Finishing Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, playing more Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Moonlighter 2, Blood Dungeon, starting a new single-player game and possibly jumping back into Marvel Rivals for its new season if I find the time to play it with friends.

The last few weeks, I’ve been playing Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, the third entry in the series from Italian video-game developer and publisher Milestone. Infinite Rush is their first attempt at an open-world racing game. With over 150 different vehicles to collect as you explore and take part in a whole host of races and activities, there is lots of fun to be had here. I enjoyed how the different events and things to do keep everything feeling fresh, and there are tons of collectables to find. You can find my full review [HERE]
Aaron and I have also been playing Orbitals on the Switch 2. It’s a clever co-op puzzle-adventure game with a striking 1980s retro-anime aesthetic and a fantastic synth-heavy soundtrack that feels like playing through a classic sci-fi show. You and a partner play as two engineers, Maki and Omura, who must work together asymmetrically to save their massive space station from a destructive cosmic storm. The gameplay relies heavily on communication and clever teamwork to solve puzzles, making it a visually stunning co-op experience. Look out for my full review coming later this week.
I have also continued playing Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. I’ve just reached Chapter 5, and I’m really enjoying the puzzles and the lore of the game so far. There’s been plenty to discover as the story unfolds, and I’m enjoying learning more about the world and its characters. The visuals and audio continue to impress me, helping to create a great atmosphere, and I’m looking forward to continuing my adventure.
Most interesting news of the week: Xbox shocked the gaming industry this week by partnering with Kojima Productions to publish Hideo Kojima’s upcoming action-espionage game, PHYSINT. After PlayStation’s unexpectedly cancelled the project, Xbox Game Studios stepped in to secure the title. The massive deal also expands beyond gaming into joint film and television projects.
Looking forward to playing: Orbitals, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Onimusha: Way of the Sword.

Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
