Eyes on the Week (30th March-3rd April)

It’s time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? And what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions!

We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

Gaming has been a little slower this week due to the real world taking priority, but I still managed to get some play time in.

I’ve been playing Life is Strange: Reunion and have completed my first true playthrough. I’m aiming to clear up all the remaining achievements over the weekend, so my review should be live next week if everything goes to plan.

I’ve played very little Overwatch this week, only to complete Junkrat’s Loot Box Hunt on Monday. Since ‘Underwatch’ has become part of the game, because of April Fools Day, I figured it would be the perfect time for a little break. Illari’s Voidwalker skin is now available, and it looks phenomenal!

Although I haven’t played Order 13 this week, it’s worth mentioning that my review is now available to read [HERE]. I do intend on trying to complete a challenge run next week, and if I’m successful, I’ll upload it to YouTube. If not, I’ll keep trying until I’m successful!

Most interesting news of this week: The Xbox Spring Sale 2026 is currently live. There are a few games, some I recognise and others that are new to me, which I’m debating grabbing.

Looking forward to playing: The only thing I have planned is my Order 13 challenge run.

I sound like a stuck record at this point, but my main timesink this week was Pokémon Pokopia again. It’s just so tempting to play that if I have a few spare minutes versus other games asking a bigger time commitment upfront (even if I do end up playing sessions of 1h+ each time). I did finally finish my review for it and gave it a great score. Make sure to read it [HERE] if you want to hear all about my thoughts.

I’ve also dusted off my Quest 3 headset for some VR action, as Space Control just launched. A hilarious Belgian Space VR job sim where you get abducted and have to do all kinds of jobs for an alien overlord to pay off your debt. Some jokes are hit or miss, but I did have a great time with the first episode. You can watch my playthrough of it HERE.

Most interesting news of this week: The Spell Brigade is coming to 1.0 and PS5. It’s a Belgian co-op bullet-heaven that already sold a million copies, and it’s helping us put Belgium on the map as a credible gamedev country, alongside some other recent successes like ORDER 13 and Roadside Research.

Looking forward to playing: My fellow writers have made me excited for Screamer and Cthulhu, so I want to check those out as well!

I continued to play some more Dice a Million and Scritchy Scratchy this week. I also went back to Deadzone Rogue for a little bit, and it didn’t disappoint.

Remnant II was also back at the rotation, as I’m still playing its DLCs with my friend. They have been a mixed bunch so far, with repetitive side content and returning enemies, but very cool new bosses, occasional NPCs, and some interesting new areas as well.

Most interesting news of this week: S&Box being revealed essentially as a completely free game development engine sounds really good.

Looking forward to playing: Though I didn’t play it this week, I do want to get back to PIGFACE, so I can complete the last 2 available levels and get my review out. I also intend on playing Marvel Rivals and Remnant II with my friends again, as well as playing more Dice a Million, Scritchy Scratchy, and maybe going back to Judgement.

This week, I’ve been diving into Screamer, a newly released arcade racer that brings a fresh twist to the genre with its innovative twin stick controls. Using the right stick to initiate drifts feels unusual at first, but once it clicks, it quickly becomes second nature and incredibly satisfying. There’s a wealth of content to explore, all wrapped in an intriguing manga-inspired storyline that gives the game a unique personality. Keep an eye out for my full review coming soon.

I’ve also continued playing Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on the Switch 2, and the more I play, the better it becomes. The visuals and audio are among the best I’ve experienced on a Nintendo console. After reading Robby’s REVIEW of the Xbox version, I was eager to try it for myself, and I’m glad I took the chance. I’m fairly new to the Final Fantasy universe, mainly because I wasn’t sure where to start, but this has been a great introduction. It runs smoothly in both docked and handheld modes, and once I adjusted to the 30 frames per second, the experience felt much more comfortable.

Most interesting news of this week: The Xbox Spring Sale is now in full swing on the Xbox Store, with more than 2,000 games discounted. From standout indie titles to major AAA blockbusters, there’s something here for everyone. The sale runs until mid-April.

Looking forward to playing: Screamer and Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.

I’ve honestly been stuck in raiding in World of Warcraft: Midnight. They really hit it out of the park with this expansion. Feels nice to feel like they cared.

Skeleseller has quietly taken a lot of my time lately. I’ve enjoyed the laid-back but present play style it requires. Just running a nice town is fun!

Most interesting news of this week: Hellcard 2 was just announced! The first was outstanding, and I’m really looking forward to it!

Looking forward to playing: Tombwater and Cinderia fell on my desk this week, and they are really good!
