It’s time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? and what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions!
We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

This week has been quite productive gaming-wise. I’ve dabbled in a little more Overwatch. That being said, after the huge loss streak Lewis and I had on Tuesday, I decided to come off and take a break until the following day (which was far better). I couldn’t fathom all the red defeats on my profile, but sometimes, that’s just how the games go.
I managed to finish the main game of Order 13 and all its achievements this week. My Xbox review should be up early next week, where I’ll go into detail about my overall experience. Spoiler: It was a positive one!
I decided to play through a visual novel called Date Z. Now, upon starting this, I didn’t realise you would have to purchase additional content to access all the different story options and achievements, which was rather annoying. I could only play Patty’s storyline, which wasn’t brilliant. I’ll leave off buying the extras until I see them on sale, and return to complete and experience the other storylines then.
Finally, Lewis and I returned to Resident Evil 5 in an attempt to finish off the multiplayer achievements so we could then delve into Resident Evil 6 whenever we’re ready. We continued where we left off, but still need to play Team Slayers and Team Survivors and get their related achievements.
Most interesting news of this week: The Xbox Partner Preview showed plenty of great games coming to Xbox: Wuthering Waves, Dispatch, Alien Deathstorm, and Artificial Detective have all piqued my interest.
Looking forward to playing: Other than Overwatch, I’m not too sure. I might dive back into my backlog.

I’ve been stressed at work recently, lots of performance anxiety and feeling down if my efforts didn’t quite reach the results I was hoping for, and when I had to unwind after a busy day, Pokémon Pokopia was always there to make me calm down again. It was the perfect cosy time killer and I’ve had the greatest time with it. Just watched the credits roll and I had 230 Pokémon in the Pokédex at the time. Not sure if I’ll go for 100%, but for now, I’m still playing an hour every day. I’m even getting Pokopia vision, where I’m placing blocks in my dreams and waking hours of the day.
On Xbox, I’ve started playing BOTI: Byteland Overclocked. I did PR on it for the PC release, but I was playtesting a build with a lot of issues at the time. Haven’t encountered any big problems on the Xbox version yet, and it’s always satisfying to earn some achievements in games where my name rolls in the credits ^^
Most interesting news of this week: Hades II is coming to Xbox in April, and I’ve been waiting for that moment!
Looking forward to playing: GRIDbeat! It has just been released, and I’m a sucker for rhythm games. Reading Benny’s review only made me more hyped for it!

I’ll keep it brief, as this week I’ve only played Crimson Desert, which you can read about [HERE]. It’s a huge game with roughly 150 hours of content in total, ranging from a meaty campaign to hundreds of optional side quests and over 70 different bosses. I had a good time with it, albeit a little frustrating at times, but it is a capable open-world souls-like game that I think people will enjoy overall.
After completing the campaign, I’ve been taking a break from games just because it was a rather large amount of work crammed into a week. So I’ve mainly been spending time outside.
Most interesting news of this week: Seeing more of Stranger Than Heaven at the Xbox partner showcase.
Looking forward to playing: Anything from my backlog 🙂

This week, I went back to PIGFACE to try the new content added to it. I got stuck on a level that I’ll be trying again later. I’ll be writing a review for it soon.
I played a tiny bit of Eldritch after years since I last played it. I really enjoyed the game, but there’s a lot I haven’t done in it yet, despite having played for more than 11h in total.
Thanks to a YouTube recommendation of a tiny channel, I discovered Scritchy Scratchy and played it for a few hours. It is very addictive and really enjoyable.
I also played a little bit more of Dice a Million, and it’s still quite a good game, with a lot to discover and unlock.
On Xbox, I played Judgement and Marvel Rivals again. I believe I’m on chapter 7 on the former, so it’ll still be a while before I finish it.
Most interesting news of this week: The Xbox partner stream showed quite a few interesting games coming, from Stranger Than Heaven to a return of the Hunter: The Reckoning franchise.
Looking forward to playing: More PIGFACE, Dice a Million, Judgement, and whatever I can fit into my schedule.

This week I’ve been playing GRIDbeat! on the Switch 2. GRIDbeat! is a fast-paced rhythm dungeon crawler where every move and action has to sync to the beat. You play as a hacker trapped inside a digital network, navigating maze-like levels, dodging hazards, and fighting enemies, all in time with the music. It blends tactical movement with rhythm gameplay, so missing the beat can quickly put you in danger. Along the way, you will take on intense boss fights, all driven by its pulsing soundtrack. For more thoughts, check out my full review [HERE]!
I’ve also started playing Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on the Switch 2. I’m not far in yet; I’ve just defeated the first boss, and I’m really looking forward to exploring the story and playing more. It looks fantastic on the Switch 2.
I’ve continued playing a few runs of Grind Survivors daily. It’s just as addictive as when I first tried it, and I still enjoy experimenting with new builds on each run, even though progression has slowed considerably.
Most interesting news of this week: Xbox’s new CEO is reportedly considering lowering Game Pass prices by introducing cheaper subscription options. The move aims to attract more players and make the service more accessible, though no changes have been confirmed yet.
Looking forward to playing: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.

Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
