It’s time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? and what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions!
We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

As I keep saying, but continuously forget, I have decided to dedicate some more time to ROBLOX to get the achievement for playing 20 consecutive days. Thankfully, I’ve found a game on there that I’m pretty happy playing (to make sure and not just log on daily) so time should fly by, and then I’ll just have the two miscellaneous achievements to obtain.
Genshin Impact has grasped my interest again with the release of Arlecchino’s banner, Lantern Rite 2025, and my need to complete the Act V Archon Quest still. I’m at 70 pity (for those who know what that means) so surely I’ll get her soon?! Then I’ll need to save up for Wriothesly because I’ve wanted his character since I met him in Fontaine. I’m thinking of either getting 100% completion in Mondstadt entirely or working on the Liyue shrines as my next larger goal though.
Most interesting news of this week: The Xbox Developer Direct gave Xbox fans some fantastic updates. Maybe I’ll try Ninja Gaiden again – It’s been at least 15 years!
Looking forward to playing: Thinking of starting something new to play along with Genshin Impact. I need my migraine medication to kick in over the next week or so first though.

I’ve been playing the original version of OFF some more and love the vibes, but not the biggest fan of the puzzles. I’m curious to see what they do with the remaster.
Beat Dog Man: Mission Impawsible on Xbox. It’s not a great game, but still happy I pushed through for the 1000G.
Also, I just started Mika and the Witch’s Mountain, but sadly facing some bugs. It could be promising though.
I played the demo of Katanaut and boy oh boy was that amazing. Really look forward to the full release now and I’m soooo hoping it’ll come to Xbox someday. Here is my playthrough: https://youtu.be/bMhBRxZWWhY?si=5dD0zdptbrsFt1U3
Most interesting news of this week: I got to announce that Toby Fox (Undertale) and Camellia (Beatsaber) worked on the soundtrack for OFF.
Looking forward to playing: Donkey Kong Country Returns HD (I still haven’t started it)

I’m still playing Persona 3 Reload, Call of Duty Black Ops 6, and It Takes Two. I also played a little bit of Hauntii for a Xbox Game Pass quest, I found it to be quite interesting and beautiful but I’ll probably finish other games before I continue playing it. Last but not least, I tried playing Gigantic: Rampage Edition thanks to Xbox Game Pass and it was nice to replay a game I enjoyed playing so long ago.
Most interesting news of this week: The return of the Ninja Gaiden series with Ninja Gaiden II Black releasing directly onto Xbox Game Pass and Ninja Gaiden 4 coming later this year.
Looking forward to playing: More Persona 3 Reload, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and It Takes Two.

I have played so many great games this week. I started with Stars in the Trash, which was heartbreaking but wonderful and well-made.
After that, I played through Mika and the Witch’s Mountain and had a great time. I couldn’t put the game down until I finished it.
I played Digseum while listening to a podcast. It’s a great short-click game that doesn’t overstay its welcome and is perfect for an afternoon or evening.
And last but not least I started Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection. I love the original and this remake looks great!
Most interesting news of this week: A new look at Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 during the Xbox direct, which looks so good.
Looking forward to playing: More Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection, Bolt Bot: Screwy Viruses and Border Town.

This week, most of my time has gone into Boti: Byteland Overclocked, which I have just completed. Even better, I’ve just compiled my review for Boti: Byteland Overclocked which can be read [HERE]. I have also been playing Apex Legends and Brotato, which is handy for the new daily Xbox reward quests, where you need to play a Game Pass game daily for fifteen minutes.
Most interesting news of this week: The Xbox Developer Direct 2025 has just taken place and several upcoming games were shown. Ninja Gaiden 4 and Ninja Gaiden 2 Black were announced, with the latter shadow-dropping immediately, which was a huge surprise. South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and Doom: The Dark Ages were also shown, with release dates announced. All coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on Day One.
Looking forward to playing: There are a few games I can’t mention just yet. I’m also looking forward to playing some Apex Legends as well as checking out Ninja Gaiden 2 Black.

Well hello there everyone, It has been quite a week of gaming for yours truly. I am playing Baldurs Gate 3, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Code Veronica, Vampire Survivors and a few more which I will be reviewing in the very near future.
Other than that I’m really trying to get motivated to get back into board games properly, I have a fair few of them and I really enjoy playing when I get that mystical motivation… Actually, Perhaps some of you readers might be interested in some board game reviews on games that coincide with the games we review? Let us know.
Most interesting news of this week: Possible leak of the next Remakes for Resident Evil was revealed as Resident Evil Code Veronica and Resident Evil Zero and they might be getting released this year.
Looking forward to playing: More Baldurs Gate 3, Like a Dragon Pirate Yakuza and loads more.

Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
