It’s time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? and what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions!

I’ve been playing more Discounty this week, and I can finally say I’ve finished the game. My review is up and ready to read [HERE], if you have a spare moment. It does come with its issues, but the overall concept is welcomed and has a story you can follow from beginning to end. If you’re into cosy games, it may be worth checking out if you’re looking for something new.
I’ve played more Overwatch 2 with Lewis again, and there isn’t much to say other than it’s the same each week – you take the good games/days with the bad. With the new progression system, I’m looking to get Illari (41) and Moira (33) their Level 60 borders. I’ve also been learning to play Wuyang, as I do think with some practice, I could grasp his mechanics better and play him occasionally when I fancy a change.
Most interesting news of this week: Cronos: The New Dawn received a 77 Metascore. I was hoping for 80+, but it’s not far off!
Looking forward to playing: Overwatch 2 and concluding Life is Strange: Double Exposure,

I played the Dreams of Another demo on Steam, since it’s only available for 2 weeks. A very unique game, both visually and conceptually, with weapons used for creation rather than destruction. You can watch my playthrough HERE or try it yourself until 16th September.
On Switch 2, I’m falling in love all over again with Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It was already one of my favourite Nintendo titles on the platform, but the new update makes it prettier, smoother and adds a ton of fun new content. Legit one of the best reasons to own a Switch 2 for me.
On Xbox, I just beat Karma: The Dark World in two sittings. A trippy, dark, and often sad experience that left a lasting impression. Not as much of a horror game as I expected, but definitely some body horror and psychological freaky stuff happening. Check my shorts gameplay scene HERE.
Most interesting news of this week: Silksong crashed all storefronts. I find that hilarious for an indie game 🥰😁
Looking forward to playing: Cronos: The New Dawn. The demo kicked my ass, but I’m ready to kick back.

I’ve been pretty sick this week, but hopefully the next one will be better.
I’ve played Hellclock for a few hours, and I have to say it’s pretty good. It imitates Hades with its art style, and it plays a lot like Diablo, but I do feel like it’s not feeling as varied as them. I will be playing it a lot more before writing my review and giving it my verdict, though.
I also finished Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and started playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. Both are pretty good, and I feel like the former got too much undeserved hatred at the time of release.
I played a little bit of Fall Guys with my girlfriend, and a tiny bit of The Rogue Prince of Persia for Xbox Game Pass quest reasons again.
Most interesting news of this week: Hollow Knight: Silksong crashing all storefronts was a sight to behold, really impressive.
Looking forward to playing: More Hellclock, and if I don’t finish it by the weekend, more Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered.

I have completed Luma Island this week. Lovely farming sim with a lot to do! I had times where I was lost in everything you could work toward, but it felt rewarding every time I completed a milestone (and achievement).
I also finished Mini Motorways. They add new achievements regularly, so I might go back in the future, but it is nice to have all the achievements for now! I’m thinking about starting Mini Metro again, having played it before the launch of Mini Motorways, but I sucked at it. I’ll probably understand the systems better now that I’ve finished Mini Motorways.
I’m also playing Whisper of the House. I’m intrigued by the town’s mystery, and I love organising and cleaning in games, so this is right up my alley.
Most interesting news of this week: Hollow Knight Silksong crashing all the stores is quite epic. I never played the first one, but it was nice to keep an eye on how well this new one was doing on Steam, considering the number of people playing and the reviews the game already has.
Looking forward to playing: More Whisper of the House, Little Problems: A Cosy Detective Game and Mars Attracts.

I checked out some Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds during the open network test. First, I played on the Switch 2, but performance wasn’t great; it felt capped at 30fps and no higher than 720p. I switched over to Xbox Series X, and things ran much better there. There’s still a tiny delay when going through portals, though, which I wish were instant; it would make the effect look way cooler. Overall, the racing was fun, chaotic, and never boring. The network test has wrapped up now, but a demo is coming in mid-September.
I also tried some Drag x Drive, which will be my first Nintendo Switch 2 review. This one makes use of motion-only controls, so keep an eye out for that review soon.
Most of my gaming time this week has gone into Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion. It’s a fast-paced open-world mecha action game with lots of cool characters and missions to dive into. My review for that one will be here soon.
Most interesting news of this week: Hollow Knight: Silksong is finally here, out now on all platforms, and even on Game Pass Ultimate!
Looking forward to playing: More Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion, Helldivers 2 with my brother, Heading Out, and some Mario Kart World.
Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
