It’s time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? and what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions!
We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

Overwatch has been my most played game once again. My support placements unfortunately ended horribly, and I placed in Gold 1. I’ve been learning and playing more Juno recently as I’ve decided her survivability is far better than Illari, but Illari will always be my main (Even if I did say that about Moira once upon a time)
I started Anno: Mutationem, which is currently on Xbox Game Pass. I like the concept of the game and the visuals, but I’m yet to get far enough in to really know what is going on. A few more hours and I’ll have a better feel for everything.
Lewis and I restarted Robotry! in shared robot mode, meaning we have to work together to complete each level/world. It’s fun, but it frustrates me to high heaven at the same time.
I’ve also played a few missions on UFOPHILIA, which will be my next TidBit Review. It’s definitely an alien take on Phasmophobia, and only incorporates single-player gameplay. I’ll be playing more and reviewing it next week.
Most interesting news of this week: Xbox has had a huge shake up with leadership, and honestly, it makes me scared for the future of Xbox. I’ll try and think with a glass half-full mindset.
Looking forward to playing: Exactly the same as this week with the addition of Starsand Island.

I’ve started playing Koira on my Steam Deck. Finally, as it won the Best Belgian Game at the Belgian Game Awards and also in our own podcast. It looks gorgeous on the OLED screen. Just too bad it only released on Steam and PS5, would have loved this on Xbox too.
I’m making slow progress in Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined still. It’s basically the most cosy JRPG I’ve played ever, or at least in recent memory and I’m taking my sweet time enjoying every minute.
I finished Aerial_Knight’s Dropshot on xbox in just two sittings and I feel like this is one better limited to a mouse control as it requires precision aiming that just doesn’t work well on a controller. [HERE] is my Xbox Review in case you like to know more about what makes it tick (or not)
Demos I already played before Steam Next Fest: GRIDbeat, a rhythm hacking title that is super satisfying to play. VIDEO HERE. and Helix: Descent N Ascent, a top-down puzzle exploration game with a goregous black & white artstyle. Legit one of the prettiest indies I’ve played. VIDEO HERE. And REPLACED, a gorgeous Pixel art cyberpunk brawler that can’t get here soon enough. VIDEO HERE.
Most interesting news of this week: We just did our Bitkroeg Awards 2025 show, our local Belgian podcast. Expedition 33 was the big winner as expected. With Silksong and Koira each also grabbing 2 awards. You can listen/watch/see the full list of winners HERE, but you’ll need to understand Dutch ^^
Looking forward to playing: Steam Next Fest is coming up and I’m excited to deep dive into even more demos.
Colombo
My Styx: Blades of Greed was published this week, I enjoyed my time with it, despite having a few issues. You can read it in full [HERE]
I just started playing Yakuza Kiwami 3 + Dark Ties for my next upcoming review, and I’m excited to see more of it.
I played a couple of Demos on Steam: Voidling Bound, which is a very fun and beautiful game, which excites me for the full release. And Galactic Bound, which is another rogue like FPS, somewhat similar to Deadzone Rogue, but I wasn’t as entertained by it, it could change in the full release.
I also played a little bit more of Neon Abyss. It’s getting more and more difficult to complete challenges and get to new bosses, but I do want to slay them all eventually.
Most interesting news of this week: Phil Spencer retiring, Sarah Bond stepping down and a new head of Xbox being hired.
Looking forward to playing: More Neon Abyss, Yakuza Kiwami 3 + Dark Ties and possibly others.

This week, I’ve been busy playing Mario Tennis Fever, the newly released game for the Switch 2. I’ve had a great time with it, especially in multiplayer mode. You can read my full review [HERE]
I’ve also played a bit of Mario Kart World, and after months of trying, I finally snagged first place in online Knockout Tour mode, it felt amazing!
I’ve also been diving into Dispatch on the Switch 2. I’m still at the beginning, but the characters have already caught my attention, and I’m excited to see where the story takes me, I’ve even found myself thinking about them after I’ve put the game down.
Most interesting news of the week: Highly anticipated sci-fi action platformer Replaced has been delayed again, with a new release date set for April 14. Developed by Sad Cat Studios, the cinematic 2.5D title has generated strong buzz for its striking pixel-art style and dystopian setting, with the team saying the extra time will ensure the game launches with the polish fans expect.
Looking forward to playing: Resident Evil Requiem and Dispatch.

Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
