Website update (23 feb)

It has been a while since I wrote an update about how things are going with LifeisXbox. Always nice to see big progress, but with growth comes responsibility to do things even better.

Direction

One of the most important things that I wanted to do the past year was getting a better relationship with publishers and developers. The past two months have been proof that I succeeded with this, besides Resident Evil I received every Xbox One game that came out, and I have written most reviews on release day.

My reviews have been first on the internet with quite a few ID@Xbox games and always on release day or shortly after. This is not an easy task to do, Let’s not forget that I’m running LifeisXbox with just one person! Other sites with more staff take days, sometimes weeks to publish a review. Something that doesn’t happen with LifeisXbox, this is a service for publishers and people who are looking to buy a game on day one.

I’m not afraid to write my opinion, Halo Wars 2 is a fine example for that and I’m actually proud that my ratings have big differences with the average Metacritic scores.

My reviews are gaining more and more readers, ID@Xbox game review views have been raised to more than an average of thousand unique readers, and For Honor and Halo Wars 2 are on track to reach record views. Overall traffic has been raised by 23%, actually a big number with the recent StumbleUpon changes that cause 40% less views from that social media platform.

In short I’m very happy with how things are going, I will focus more on streaming unreleased games, not sure if this will be on Twitch or Beam. And I’m finally hoping to find a trustworthy second writer.

Thanks for reading this update, and thank you for visiting LifeisXbox.
